In search of a challenge, I took on the role of lead designer for Slingshot, a tech-startup revolutionizing customer success for home service companies, who wanted their site redesigned with modern illustrations to convey their proficiency in the industry.

Simplicity = longevity.

The biggest challenges of this project were the scale of the site, the 3-dimensional view of multiple assets and the difficult subject matter. The challenges that arose were heightened because they were contingent upon one another.

As my first illustrative site, Slingshot taught me to increase longevity by promoting simplicity. I now know the importance of ensuring the illustration style coincides with the project scope and timeline.
